I found a table for ship statistics, much like the weapons one in Gurps 4e. Or should I only allow them knowledge of the cannons I have templates and the basic info for the ship already, just not sure what to do with it all lol. I know GM rules and all that but being a newbie I really need advice on the best way to use the info for great game play. I want them to use the cannons, shoot at it or whatever they want. I expectwant the ship to take damage cuz storyline, but I dont want it to sink. Much obliged for the links. ![]() To keep it short, Id say yes, a character sheet (index card sized) for the ship isnt a bad idea. You do have a ST score to worry about, determining the ships base HP and resisting things like being crushed by a sea monster or torn apart by a storm as well as how much cargo you can haul safely. Items also have HT scores to resist environmental conditions. Shipboard weapons use GunnerTL skill, modified by conditions (choppycalm seas, range, speed, Size Modifier of the target ship), and have very slow reload times. For flexibility Id say let the PCs be in lower officer roles. Gunners Mate, Boatswain, that sort of thing, and let the NPCs handle most tasks onboard ship and let the PCs lead and supervise. Its for 3E so you may or may not want to use ship stats from it directly, but its got lots of pirate info. And its 8. 5 Share Report Save level 2 Original Poster 1 year ago Ive been using it for reference, lots of good info, just not much about ships. I also think its stupid to not include vehicles relevant to Swashbuckling in it. Share Report Save level 1 1 year ago Do you have GURPS Low Tech Thats where TL 4 stuff would be and knowing GURPS, they already have one of these built for you. Share Report Save level 2 Original Poster 1 year ago Thats exactly where I found the most helpful info when I was researching. Gurps Swashbucklers Download Every PDFI had to download every PDF to find it though. Share Report Save level 1 1 year ago Im confused. How do you have a two masted sloop 3 Share Report Save level 2 Original Poster 1 year ago My bad, I meant sails, not masts. My brain is retaining far too much information, must be time to dump some files 1 Share Report Save View Entire Discussion (10 Comments) More posts from the gurps community Continue browsing in rgurps rgurps The Generic Universal RolePlaying System, or GURPS, is a tabletop role-playing game system designed to allow for play in any game setting. ![]() Members 30 Online Created Sep 4, 2010 Join Top posts november 15th 2019 Top posts of november, 2019 Top posts 2019 help Reddit App Reddit coins Reddit premium Reddit gifts about careers press advertise blog Terms Content policy Privacy policy Mod policy Reddit Inc 2021.
